August 25th,2017

At the beginning of this day we were invited to participate in a speech which was about teaching methods and techniques. Some points that were taking into account were ''Teaching methods'', ''How to work with children and teenagers'' and ''Teacher professional ethics''. 
Here are some pictures.

They are the teachers that were sharing their experiences with us.

The groups that were missing the last class passed today to perform the class that were assigned them.

Olga, Wilfredo and Alex were the sixth group. They taught grammar and their topic was ''passive voice''. They started the class with a good activity of throwing the ball into a trash can, and if the ball fell inside of it, they showed us a verb in base form so, we had to say the verb in past participle. After that Alex did the presentation of the topic, and they gave us a worksheet so, we worked in. Also the gave us an envelops which had papers inside and we had to created 4 sentences. It was nice!

They were the last group of today. They taught listening and it was about ''Living statues''. They started with three interesting questions like: ''Do you think it is a difficult job?'', ''Have you ever seen a living statue?'' and ''Do you think these people earn a lot of money?''. Then they played the audio for the first time while we worked in a worksheet of true and false. After that we listened to the audio for the second time and answered the worksheet. Finally, we worked in group of three and created a statue with the clay that they provided us. 

Those were the statues that we created.

August 18th,2017

Today we develop the class that were assigned us the last Friday. Each group had 30 minutes to perform their classes, so just 5 groups could past this day because for the time the others could not pass.

The first group was conforming for Rocio, katherine and Beatriz. they taught vocabulary and the topic was ''Sports''. The class started with a great activity of writing whatever word that came our minds following the alphabet while teachers were taking time. Then teacher Rocio started with the presentation of ''Sports''. Then Beatriz gave us a worksheet for us to work on, at the end we worked in groups of three with a little picture of sport, practicing the sentence ''My favorite sport is...''

The second group taught Grammar and the topic was ''Present perfect tense''. Steven started with an activity of unscramble verbs. then Pamela explained the topic. After that Carlos gave us some envelopes which had pieces of papers with words inside, so we had to created sentences with them.

Antonio, Melisa and Gaby were the third group. They taught listening and the topic was about a dog's life. The activities they gave us was good, we had to listen to the audio and put the events in order. Also, in pairs we talked about our favorite animals.

The fourth group was Brenda, Hilda and Sandra. They taught reading and the topic was about countries. Before they presented the reading they gave us a hard word search which nobody could finish. Besides, in a extra page everybody were writing about our country El Salvador and passing them to others classmates. Their activities were great.

 My group was the fifth and the last for today. We taught vocabulary about "Mother's earth''. We presented environmental problems and some solutions for them. Moreover, we asked our classmates to  form 4 groups and created a political party with a specific slogan, and gave ideas to eradicate environmental problems.

August 12th, 2017

 Today the teacher Orlando gave us the topics of the class that we are going to teach the next week. We began to work as a group sharing different ideas about the activities that can be used in each stage. when we finished planning, we started to create the materials.

August 4th, 2017.

We were asked to form 4 groups in order to prepare presentations. Our presentations were about  ''How to teach reading'', ''How to teach listening'', ''How to teach grammar and ''How to teach vocabulary''. Here are some pictures and a great video.

 

 

  

July 21st, 2017.

We were asked to form 4 groups and perform a scene from any movie. The scenes that we performed were Shrek 2, White Chicks (two groups performed the same White Chicks movie, but different scene) and the series The walking dead. Some scenes were shown in Spanish as they do not have the same sense in English. Here are some videos and pictures, so you can see them.

What I can say about it is that it was amazing because those scenes are really 

funny so,they made us laugh a lot, and that is why from some groups were 

difficult to keep themselves serious while performing their scenes. But anyway, 

those are good activities to have fun and can be applied in class. 

       
 Also, we presented stories of fear, embarrassing, love and sadness.

It was nice and they were so creative with the story. What I really liked was how Rocio appeared with her hair put it on her face and how Melissa was asking for help. Also, turning out the lights was a good idea.

                                                                       Sad story.

Their perform of the final scene of the Titanic movie. It reminded us the saddest

part of the movie where Jack died. 

                                                                                               

                                                        Love story.

This story was about a wife who really loves her husband. Unfortunately, he mistreated her, but her love was so great that she apologized him. This 

group represented something that is seen daily in real life.
